 about

Coegi are a London based dance company in residence at Dance Research Studio. The company is working on a new contemporary dance performance, challenging ideas around memory, place and human connections. Grace Nicol (choreographer), Wilfred Petherbridge (composer),  Ben Hauke (performer and collaborator) andTheo Samsworth (performer and collaborator) founded the multi disciplinary company in 2014. They aim to question established ways of working through Choreographer/

Composer/Performer relationships, challenging the hierarchical norm. Lucy Freeman has now joined the team!

The company's name is Latin for 'bring together'. Coegi aim to put this into action by creating work through collaboration. Our education programme offers composers and dancers alike the opportunity to highjack our work whilst exercising their own creativity and exploring innovative ways of working.

"We want to positively encourage composers and dancers to steal our ideas and take them as far as they can into their own creative performances.  Collaboration is about enrichment, aspiration, about the unpredictable and innovation."
